Are you looking for a family 'day out' membership this summer? I’ve created this guide and listed them all in one place to make it easy to compare prices.

Some are for multiple venues, where others are for repeat visits to the same attraction. From castles to gardens to play areas you should find everything here.

I also have a blog which lists all the attractions in Yorkshire which offer ‘Pay once, Visit All Year’ tickets, so you might want to check out that next.

Just make sure you check their latest prices and T&C’s on their individual websites.

RHS Membership

Get entry into all 5 RHS gardens including Harlow Carr as well as 200 partner gardens (main member/s only) including Beninbrough, Parcevall Hall and the Yorkshire Arboretum.

Individual £79.99 (1 adult and either 1 guest or 2 children)

Joint £119.99 (2 adults, a family guest and 4 children)

There is a 1/3 off at the moment (until 2 Feb 2026) and throughout the year there are always a few 25% off offers so keep your eyes peeled! Plus if you use my joining link you’ll get the discount and get a £10 online RHS voucher too. Join the RHS here.

An English Heritage membership includes entry to Cliffords Tower, Byland Abbey, Spofforth Castle (this is free entry anyway!), Burton Agnes, Scarborough Castle and Whitby Abbey to name but a few.

Young Person (18-25) £42.00

1A + 6 Family £82.00

2A + 12 Family £144.00

Historic Houses

I used to rave on about Historic Houses because they offered the best value membership around but they have changed their pricing recently and it’s a lot more than it used to be but still worth looking into.

It includes entry to Temple Newsam, Bramham Park, Goldsborough Hall, Ripley Castle, Newby Hall and Markenfield Hall, plus many other venues around the country.

£71.00 per person and £63.00 per additional person (no matter what age)

Stockeld Park

Stockeld Park doesn’t feature much on my blog because I remember the days when you didn’t have to remortgage to visit but if youve never been before it is worth a visit and the kids love it.

Access all winter weekends and February half term. Book up to 14 days in advance. 1.5hr Play Hive slot per visit. Ice skating is available until 23rd Feb.

Plus the membership is available seasonally so there will be spring, summer and autumn options.

£40.00 per person (no matter what age)

Which annual membership will you choose? There are some great ideas here for Yorkshire days out for all the family.
